On May 29, the Wolf Administration announced the creation of a statewide Suicide Prevention Task Force. The goal of this task force is to bring together state agencies with differing responsibilities and constituencies to inform a comprehensive, statewide suicide prevention plan. Suicide does not discriminate, and all ages, genders, regions, and socioeconomic statuses may be affected. Because of this, the task force is seeking public input on their ideas for suicide prevention, education around mental health and suicide, and how to dispel the stigma around suicide and mental health.

Date: November 15, 2019
Location: Location Greater Plymouth Community Center 2910 Jolly Road Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
ABOUT THE FILM: Unprescribed looks at medical marijuana and the veterans who risk everything to get off the cocktail of drugs prescribed by military doctors. For many, the battles continue even out of uniform, as they recover from war-related trauma through a multitude of prescription medicines. In his first feature-length motion picture, producer, director, and military veteran Steve Ellmore presents us with stories from fellow veterans, spouses, and family members on coping with war-related injuries and the loss of loved ones due to suicide. We quickly discover that all the stories are the same. After returning from combat they've all been prescribed what many refer to as the 'combat cocktail' or 'zombie dope,' leading many to believe that suicide is a possible solution to their pain. We believe that Medical Marijuana provides a safer alternative. *This film does contain some footage of combat
