Governor’s Cabinet and Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities
The Governor's Cabinet for People with Disabilities and the Governor's Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities have the following responsibilities:
They make suggestions to the governor on policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation that help people with disabilities in Pennsylvania.
They serve as points-of-contact between the governor and people with disabilities in order to make sure that state government is open, accountable, willing to respond.
They work with all of the departments, commissions, and agencies under the governor to make sure the needs of people with disabilities and their required services and programs are accessible to those individuals.
They work with the governor's offices and agencies to oversee the hiring and employment of people with disabilities in the commonwealth and ensure that no discrimination takes place.
