LIFE UNITES US———- Stories to End Stigma Campaign!!
Date: September 30, 2020 - December 31, 2021
What unites us as family, friends, neighbors, and Pennsylvanians also
has the power to end the stigma of opioid addiction.
Life Unites Us is changing the conversation about opioid addiction.
Powered by real stories from across Pennsylvania, we're showing
that opioid addiction impacts people from all walks of life and
that it is a treatable medical condition just like heart disease, arthritis,
Recovery is not only possible, it is probable.
Life Unites Us was created through a partnership between the
Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, the
Douglas W. Pollock Center for Addiction Outreach and Research at Penn State Harrisburg, and the non-profits
Shatterproof and PGP (The Public Good Projects).
The effort is supported by organizations, coalitions, and service providers who have already been doing amazing work to fight the opioid epidemic across the state. With individuals, families, communities, and organizations all working together, we can end stigma and remove the barriers to successful treatment and recovery for all who need it.
