The Maternal and Early Childhood Consortium presents a 3-hour training on vicarious trauma provided by the Health Federation of Philadelphia.

For helping professionals, understanding trauma is part and parcel in providing support and delivering services to individuals and families. In the process of caring about other people who have been hurt, professionals often experience subtle changes in their overall wellbeing stemming from secondary trauma. If not acknowledged, understood, and/or addressed, over time the impact can be far reaching with you, your family, your organization, and even the very individual or family you are attempting to help.

MECC is excited to have Laura Hinds, MSW, LCSW as the morning presenter.

Please join us for this extremely important topic. Registration and resource sharing from 8:15am – 9:00am.  Light breakfast refreshments provided.

This training is geared towards helping professionals primarily working in the fields of maternal and child health, early childhood development, child welfare, and community-based organizations. Space is limited, register today.

Montgomery County Community College is not affiliated with the event and the College should not be contacted regarding the program.
