‘Instituting a Culture of Inclusion’

This year’s Retreat will feature an array of engaging workshops, roundtable discussions, poster presentations, a community panel session, and featured presentations that outline how we can foster an equitable, just, and inclusive campus community.
Featured speakers:

Crystal Fleming, Ph.D. – Professor, public intellectual and leading expert on white supremacy and global racism. She is the author of the critically-acclaimed book, How to Be Less Stupid About Race:  On Racism, White Supremacy.
Leigh Patel, Ph.D. – Inaugural Associate Dean of Equity and Justice, University of Pittsburgh School of Education. She has authored five books, including the award-winning Youth Held at the Border:  Immigration, Education, and the Politics of Inclusion and Decolonizing Educational  Research: From Ownership to Answerability.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The Retreat is free to attend, but seating is limited, and registration will close when capacity is met. You can register at
